Joseph Caltagiorne

Mr. Caltagirone’s love for his heritage and culture are proudly displayed through his architectural designs. As a detail specialist draftsman, he came to learn and appreciate the genius of Italy’s greatest architect, Andrea Palladio.  Born in Tampa, FL, Mr. Caltagirone has helped restore the historic architecture of the city, including the Italian Cemetery, one of the hidden treasures of the area.  For over 60 years Mr. Caltagirone has been a member of the Order Sons of Italy in America proudly promoting his heritage.

 

Grace S. Campisi-Maroccia

            In 1965, as a member of the Order Sons of Italy in America (OSIA), Ms. Maroccia was elected to the highest position in the state – Grand Venerable (President) of the Grand Lodge of Florida – becoming the first woman in the history of OSIA to be elected to this position which she held for two terms (four years). In 1969, she was elected a National Trustee of OSIA.      She has always provided outstanding leadership and guidance to all those who sought her aid and assistance. Her passion to help all those of Italian heritage has also extended to all the Italian immigrants who came to Tampa to find work.  For her achievements and all she did to promote her heritage, Ms. Maroccia was awarded in 1999 by the Supreme Lodge, the Dr. Vincenzo Sellaro Award, the highest honor of the Order, named after the founder of the Order Sons of Italy in America.

 

Joseph Capitano, Sr.

Mr. Capitano was born and raised in Tampa, FL; he joined his father in the family business, Radiant Oil Company, which grew to be the largest and most respected petroleum distributorship in the southeast. As a community leader, Mr. Capitano has been an active participant in the city of Ybor City’s revitalization. He has led restoration efforts on many of its buildings and historical landmarks.  For his many noteworthy community activates, Mr. Capitano is the recipient of several community awards.

           

Joseph Lopano

Mr. Lopano, who grew up in upstate NY, was inspired to go into the airline industry by his father who worked for Pan American Airlines. After receiving his B.A. in Finance and Accounting, he later attended the University of Connecticut earning a graduate degree in Marketing.  His experience in the airline business is extensive having held management positions at Continental Airlines, Lufthansa, BWIA, and Pan Am. He has held leadership roles in financial planning, international route development, advertising, and frequent flyer programs. He has served on several boards including holding the chairmanship of the International Air Service Committee of the Airports Council International of North America.  Before his position on January 1, 2011, as the new CEO at Tampa International Airport, Mr. Lopano was the Executive Vice President for Marketing and Terminal Management at the Dallas/Fort Worth Airport for 14 years.
